What happens when we feel close to someone who doesn’t even know we exist?
In today’s digital world, we spend countless hours online following our favorite artists (idols in korean kontext), actors, and creators — forming a unique kind of “relationship from afar.”
Together with Veronika Mattová from Masaryk University, we’ll explore how these parasocial bonds emerge, why they matter, and what they tell us about our need for connection in the digital age.
